After setting up an Acer LCD ET2 Series monitor to a display port the sound setting did not detect the monitor audio output nor did I hear any audio.
The ET322QK specifications and manual states there are 2x2W speakers built into the monitor.
When looking at the Device Manager in Control Panel the monitor was detected as a Generic PnP Monitor not as Acer ET322QK.

The Generic PnP Monitor is not the correct driver and this is the reason why the monitor is not detected in the windows sound settings.
